A New Youth Pastor @ The Village Church!

Village Church,

Last week the Elders made their final decision to hire David Hughes as our Youth Pastor here at The Village Church! David is a young man with years of local youth ministry experience, a recent Masters Degree recipient from Golden Gate Seminary and newlywed. More than anything, David is a man who loves Jesus deeply, and is deeply committed to continuing a Christ-centered, Gospel-centered Youth Ministry here at The Village. Dina and I hosted a Restor Weekend for David and Jessica last weekend on behalf of our church, and are even more excited about them the more time we spend with them.

Next Sunday, September 2nd, David and Jessica will be commissioned by their home church, Reverence Bible Church. David will start full-time on Tuesday, September 4th. On Sunday, September 9th, David and Jessica will have their first official Sunday here at The Village. They will be commissioned by the Elders during Family Time, and the Elders will host a Welcome Lunch for David and Jessica after church that Sunday. More details to come.

The Elders are convinced Jesus is calling David and Jessica to The Village Church in this capacity, and David and Jessica have expressed that they wholeheartedly believe the same. Thank you for your prayers and patience in this process, as we've all been trusting Jesus to confirm this call. We look forward to seeing how Jesus will use David and Jessica in the lives of our students in the days ahead.
