What is Dinner Club?
Dinner club is a gathering of people at a host home to share a dinner together, typically on a Friday or Saturday evening.
How many people attend?
A typical Dinner Club meal will have six to ten adults. We try to just get the total number close to eight.
Do children attend?
Our hope for Dinner Club is to share an extended time of adults enjoying conversation and fellowship together without the need to care for children. The host family's children will usually be in the home, but we ask guests who have children to arrange childcare plans for the evening.
How do we pick the menu?
We will gather guest signups and host signups and put togehter groups. Hosts will reach out to guests and begin coordinating the best night that everyone can join. As the date gets closer, the host will coordinate a simple potluck menu that fits with any dietary needs and allows everyone to participate.
Is this a fancy thing?
Our hope for Dinner Club is that people enjoy being together and getting to know each other better. Simple menus, casual attire, and no pressure to impress anyone with fancy side dishes or table decor.
How long is Dinner Club?
We ask guests to commit to a two hour dinner, and if necessary, arranging childcare to be able to attend a two hour dinner. In the past, a lot of Dinner Club gatherings will extend later with conversations or games in the living room later into the evening.
