Pastors @ The Village

Village Church,

In recent days you’ve seen The Village add two new Elders to our Elder team – Jacob Coleman and Aaron Sellars. I can not say enough about these men. At Aaron’s Elder Confirmation, you also heard me refer to our Elders as Pastors, and our Pastors as Elders. That’s because Elders are referred to synonymously as pastors, overseers and elders in the New Testament (Acts 20:28; Ephesians 4:11;1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9). In light of what Scripture reveals, and what I acknowledged that Sunday, on behalf of the Elders, you should now feel the freedom to refer to your Village Church Elders as Pastors at The Village Church. With that said, I’m excited to announce to you the areas of pastoral responsibility for our Pastors at The Village:

• Jacob Coleman – Community Pastor
• Matt Kyser – Lead Pastor
• Mike Langdon – Family Pastor
• Mike Ramsey – Mission Pastor
• Aaron Sellars – Executive Pastor
• Matt Sonneberg – Care Pastor

During the summer months we’ll be interviewing each of our Pastors during Family Time, allowing them to share their passion for the things Jesus has called them into in our church. It’s our hope that these interviews will also help to bring some clarity to specific ministries that will fall under each of our Pastors oversight, helping you to better connect with your Pastors here at The Village.

Be encouraged Village Church! Jesus, the Sr. Pastor of the church (1 Peter 5:4), has raised up some faithful Pastors for this church, for this time. It’s our prayer and great hope, that He raises up many more to pastor His people in the days ahead.
